At the break it was scoreless after a scrappy first half with few chances for either side. Just before the break Moyola had a shout for a penalty when Forrest fell in the box. However, the ref ruled it a dive and issued a yellow card.
Queen’s had the better of the second period, dominating possession and chances. Moyola’s defence was well organised with keeper Marcin Farniok to the fore with some fine saves and well into added time it was still scoreless. Following a long delay for treatment of a bad cut sustained by Ryan McCready, Queen’s broke away on the left in the 97th minute. Ronan Young played a one two and his shot eluded Farniok and ended up in the net.
Queen’s next match will be an Irish Cup Round 5 game at home to Lisburn Distillery on Sat 5th January, kick off 1:30pm
